36-year-old woman arrested after chase in south Lubbock

LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – Shortly after 5 p.m. Tuesday, a Lubbock County Sheriff's Office officer saw a car connected to a call made earlier in the day.

Officers were called to a home in the 2300 block of CR 7620 for a disturbance. After initial investigation, officers determined that 36-year-old Andreea Reyes had threatened someone inside the home with a knife.

A deputy attempted to stop Reyes, but she sped away and a chase ensued. Reyes crashed into two cars near 98th Street and Indiana Avenue, ending the pursuit.

Reyes was arrested and taken by EMS to a local hospital with injuries. The drivers of the other two cars were taken to UMC with minor injuries.

According to LSO, Reyes was charged with two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon (automobile), fleeing with a vehicle and aggravated assault (deadly weapon, menacing).

The investigation is still ongoing.
