A high-risk sex offender was released to Rapid City

RAPID CITY, SD (KOTA) – According to the South Dakota Department of Corrections, 34-year-old Corey Yellow Boy was released from prison on August 15.

Yellow Boy served his sentence for eluding police, failing to provide his address as a sex offender, and possession of a controlled substance. Because he has served his full sentence, he is not under parole supervision.

“Due to his criminal history and the facility's assessments indicating a high risk of reoffending, I am notifying law enforcement and the public of this offender's release from prison,” said Attorney General Kellie Wasko.

Yellow Boy is a Native American, 5'5″ tall, and weighs approximately 200 lbs. He has brown hair and hazel eyes and is currently a registered sex offender.

He was released to the Rapid City area.
