Detained man suspected of involvement in several incidents

RENO, Nev. (KOLO) – A man is facing multiple charges after being arrested in connection with several incidents in Washoe County.

Sparks police were called to the area between G Street and Sullivan Lane around 5:15 a.m. Tuesday morning, where a woman told them that Adam Soderblom had stabbed her multiple times with a knife. He reportedly fled the scene before police arrived.

Half an hour later, they were called to CannonBall Road. They say a woman's car had been stolen by a man who threatened her with a knife. The description she gave of the man allegedly matched Soderblom. However, investigators were unable to find Soderblom or the car.

Shortly after 6:30 a.m., Washoe County officers responded to a home in the Tholl Drive area where a robbery and home invasion had allegedly occurred. They searched the area and said they found Soderblom and the vehicle, which had been reported stolen on Cannonball Road.

According to Sparks police, evidence was found at several crime scenes linking Soderblom to these incidents. He was arrested and taken to the Washoe County Detention Center.

Sparks Police have filed several charges against him:

  • Robbery with a deadly weapon
  • Aggravated theft of a motor vehicle
  • Possession of stolen property
  • Bodily harm with a deadly weapon

Soderblom is also facing charges from the Washoe County Sheriff's Office:

  • Robbery
  • Break-in into the house
  • Burglary
  • battery
