Woman accused of assault arrested after chase and crash in Lubbock County

A 36-year-old woman was arrested Tuesday after she allegedly threatened a person with a knife and then led sheriff's officers on a chase that ended in a crash in South Lubbock.

According to the Lubbock County Sheriff's Office, officers were called to the 2300 block of County Road 7260 for a disturbance. There they found that a woman, later identified as Andreea Reyes, had allegedly attacked a person inside the home and threatened them with a knife.

Just after 5 p.m. Tuesday, a sheriff's deputy spotted the vehicle believed to be related to the disturbance call and attempted to stop it when the driver began to flee, according to the LCSO. Deputies pursued the vehicle, allegedly driven by Reyes, until the driver crashed into two other vehicles near 98th and Indiana.
