Nearly 700 grams of meth seized, Lenoir man arrested for drug offenses

Adrian Devon Hill, 53, of Norwood Street in Lenoir, was arrested by Lenoir police on Monday (August 19) on charges of trafficking methamphetamine by possession, possession with intent to manufacture, sell and deliver methamphetamine, and operating a dwelling for the sale of the controlled substance.

Investigators from the City of Lenoir Police Department, Caldwell County Sheriff's Office ICE Unit, Alexander County Sheriff's Office, Taylorsville Police Department, Watauga County Sheriff's Office, Department of Homeland Security and North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation began investigating the sale and distribution of methamphetamine at a residence within the city limits of Lenoir.

During the investigation, authorities discovered that Adrian Hill was distributing methamphetamine in the local community. After a lengthy investigation, investigators requested and obtained a search warrant for Hill's residence. The search warrant was executed on Monday evening.

During the investigation and search of the residence, officers seized 697.1 grams of meth and $5,297. Hill was arrested at the scene without incident. The suspected narcotics seized had a street value of $104,565, according to North Carolina drug guidelines. Hill was held in the Caldwell County Detention Center on $200,000 bail. A District Court appearance is scheduled for today (August 21).
