Public safety officials said a man barricaded himself inside a home. A woman involved in the situation is OK, police said.

In an update released at 11:30 p.m. Tuesday, Pittsburgh Public Safety said negotiators had attempted to reach the man by phone and that operators had attempted to persuade him to turn himself in to police.

“Neither of these efforts has produced any results. The operation is still ongoing,” the post says.

Banksville Road remains closed between Carnahan Road and McMonagle Avenue.
