JBL's new earphones have an even larger housing screen

There are a lot of wireless earbuds on the market, so it's harder than ever for a pair to stand out from the crowd with unique features. JBL has just unveiled its latest premium earbuds, and while they come with a hefty price tag, they're worth a look.

JBL has unveiled its latest true wireless earbuds, the Tour Pro 3, which JBL says come with industry-first features. A key highlight is the redesigned smart charging case, which has a 30% larger screen than its predecessor. You may know JBL from its tendency to put screens on its charging cases, which the company has done a few times on some of its other products as well. The screen gives you comprehensive control over music, calls, and messages right from the case. There aren't many other companies trying this yet other than JBL, so it's cool to see the company continuing to experiment in this regard.

Another unique feature is the case's ability to also act as a wireless audio transmitter, allowing for effortless connection to in-flight entertainment systems. Additionally, Auracast connectivity allows for easy sharing of audio with other Auracast-enabled devices. The Tour Pro 3 features a hybrid dual-driver system in each earbud that promises crisp and clear sound. True Adaptive Noise Cancelling technology adapts to the environment and effectively suppresses noise for an uninterrupted listening experience.

There's also 360-degree spatial head tracking, which is designed to create an immersive 360-degree audio experience and give you that “spatial audio” feeling that's so popular right now. Other notable features include LDAC Hi-Res Audio Wireless for high-resolution sound, Personi-Fi 3.0 for personalized audio tuning, and a 6-microphone setup for crystal-clear calls in any environment.

The earbuds retail for $299.99, which is certainly expensive for wireless earbuds, but JBL hopes the many features make up for it. They are available from JBL's online store and should be available from other retailers soon.
