Salisbury police discuss investigation into fatal shooting

SALISBURY, NC (WBTV) – Salisbury Police are informing the community of a shooting that left an 80-year-old man dead and a child seriously injured.

The shooting occurred on August 10 at 5:30 a.m. on Rowan Mill Road. When officers arrived at the scene, they found Charles William and a child shot. William died at the scene and the child was taken to a hospital and placed in intensive care.

Officials said at the time that the incident did not appear to be a coincidence and that there was no apparent danger to the public.
