Ryan Blaney gives brief response to Chase Elliott incident in 2024

Chase Elliott and Ryan Blaney were in position for solid top-10 finishes at Michigan International Speedway, but things went south on the final lap. Elliott and Blaney exited Turn 1 ahead of Brad Keselowski, and the No. 9 car pulled ahead. Elliott finished 15th while Blaney finished 18th.

Following the event Blaney was asked by Jeff Gluck of The Athletic about his incident with Elliott on the final lap in Michigan. The 2023 Cup Series champion was too short and deflected everything to Elliott.

“Questions [Chase Elliott]”, said Blaney.

According to Gluck, Elliott left pit road quickly in Michigan and was unable to get an answer. The two drivers are good friends, so it would be reasonable for some answers to be provided this weekend at Daytona International Speedway. Blaney may feel like he owes Elliott something, and it will be interesting to see what happens going forward.
