Hearthstone Season 8 is here with new mechanics and more to expand Trouble in Paradise

It's been just under a month since Hearthstone's last major update, Dangers in Paradise, was released. And if you were worried that the tropical vacation theme would be abandoned, don't worry! Hearthstone Season 8 is here, complete with new mechanics, cards, and more. So let's take a look at what's being added with this new season.

First, the new mechanic: trinkets. These passive power-ups can be purchased with gold and used for the rest of the game. They are offered to you twice, on rounds six and nine, allowing you to choose four trinkets from 116 possible options. The trinkets offered are based on your hero, your servants, and even your warband, so you're always getting something valuable.

And the trinkets are also central to the new heroine Marin, the Manager. If you want special offers, she's got you covered, because Marin lets you get an extra trinket one turn earlier than usual! All that and 27 new minions, 18 returning minions, and 2 new tavern spells!

Although I am not a big Hearthstone player (I let The To my Yugioh-obsessed friends, I can definitely appreciate the important new additions in this update. Although I'm sure some of you are breathing a sigh of relief that game-changing mechanics like jewelry will only be available for a limited time.
