D'Iberville man arrested and charged with attempted sale of synthetic cannabinoids

D'IBERVILLE, Miss. (WLOX) – On Wednesday, the Harrison County Sheriff's Office announced the arrest of 35-year-old Eltokenkerkewarn Monsett Funchess of D'Iberville.

Funchess is charged with possession of synthetic cannabinoids with intent to resell.

On August 21 at approximately 11 a.m., officers from HCSO Narcotics executed search warrants at Funchess' home in the 17300 block of Avondale Circle. Investigators also searched Palayas Stop and Shop, a business owned by Funchess and located in the 10100 block of Central Avenue. The search warrants resulted from an ongoing drug investigation.

During the search of the premises, officers seized almost 355 grams of Spice as well as digital scales and other items related to drug trafficking.

Based on the findings, Funchess was arrested and remanded to the Harrison County Jail in lieu of $25,500 bail set by Judge Nick Patano.

The D'Iberville police also assisted in the investigation.
