Trump campaign pulls 'Freedom' video after Beyoncé threatens legal action

The Trump team may talk big, but in the face of possible legal action from Beyoncé, they buckled like their candidate's ill-fitting, makeup-smeared suit.

On Thursday, the singer issued a cease-and-desist letter to Donald Trump's presidential campaign after its spokesman Steven Cheung posted a video on social media showing Trump disembarking from the plane in Michigan, accompanied by the song “Freedom” by Beyoncé.

“Freedom” is, of course, the official campaign song of Vice President Kamala Harris – a decision that Beyoncé personally approved of.

While the Trump campaign video was an obvious attempt to troll the Harris campaign, Trump seemed unwilling to face the potential consequences of suing Beyoncé. Within hours of the cease-and-desist notice, the video was removed.

Trump is still facing potential legal action against him from Taylor Swift after he falsely claimed the singer supported him via a series of AI-generated images he posted to his Truth Social account.
