Third arrest after fatal shooting ambush in Grand Bay

GRAND BAY, Alabama (WALA) – A third person has been arrested in connection with a fatal shooting in Grand Bay.

Brittany Mentor, 28, was arrested by the Mobile County Sheriff's Office Wednesday afternoon.

Mentor is accused of murder and attempted murder.

Thomas Marshall and Jesse Brown were also arrested and face the same charges.

On August 7, officers were dispatched to a Chevron gas station on Highway 90.

Investigators said they discovered a man and a woman with gunshot wounds and took both to the hospital.

Horace Sellers has died. His girlfriend Shrie Gunn has survived.

According to investigators, Mentor was in the car during the shooting and admitted that her weapon was used.

According to MCSO, she has hidden the gun since the shooting.

All three suspects are from Mississippi.

Brown and Marshall pleaded not guilty last week. Their court date is set for September 18.

Mentor has a bail hearing on Friday.
