Three people arrested on various charges in northwest Arkansas; one man sentenced

Benton County

John Higman, 51, of 4114 Arkansas 23 South in Booneville, was arrested Wednesday in connection with a rape. Higman was being held in the Benton County Jail on Wednesday and no bail was set.

Fayetteville

Anthony Alaniz, 37, of 6349 W. El Paso Drive in Fayetteville, was arrested Tuesday in connection with possession of methamphetamine or cocaine with the intent to resell. Alaniz was being held Wednesday at the Washington County Detention Center on $5,000 bail.

Springdale

Kade Courtney, 19, of 515 Spring St. in Springdale, was arrested Monday on two counts of assault. Courtney was being held Wednesday at the Washington County Detention Center on $5,000 bail.

Judgments

Washington County District Court

Jonathan Ralston, 44, of 11478 Jim Hall Road in Lincoln, pleaded guilty to being an accessory to possession of methamphetamine or cocaine with intent to resell. Ralston was sentenced to 30 years in the Arkansas Department of Corrections, with 10 years suspended.
