Broome County Industrial Development Agency publishes draft scoping document

MAINE (WBNG) – The Broome County Industrial Development Agency has released its draft scoping document for the proposed Broome Technology Park in Maine.

The document explains the possible impacts of the development process on the environment.

The document is the first of several that must be approved under the state's Environmental Quality Review Act.

A public hearing to solicit formal comments from the public will be held on September 10 at 6:30 p.m. in the Maine-Endwell High School auditorium. Doors will open at 6:00 p.m.

In a statement, IDA Executive Director Stacy Duncan said: “We are committed to community engagement throughout the Broome Technology Park review process as community participation is essential to creating a development that has the greatest possible positive impact on our local economy.”
