Suspect arrested after firearms found in vehicle during traffic stop

Abraham Roman, 25, of Charlotte, was arrested by Troutman police last Friday (August 16). He is charged with two counts of possession of a stolen firearm, three counts of carrying a concealed weapon, and one count each of possession of cocaine and drug paraphernalia.

On Friday at around 9:35 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle at the intersection of Perth Road and State Park Road. During a conversation with the driver, Abraham Roman, officers had sufficient suspicion to search the vehicle.

A search of the vehicle revealed three concealed handguns, two of which were reported stolen. In addition to the firearms, officers also found cocaine in the vehicle. Roman was arrested and taken to the Iredell County Detention Center on $30,000 bail. As of today (August 21), he was not listed as an inmate. An appearance in District Court is scheduled for September 11.
