Man allegedly tattooed, sexually harassed and supplied Lincoln teenager with drugs

LINCOLN, Nebraska (KOLN) – A Lincoln man is accused of sexually abusing a teenager after giving her pills and alcohol.

Prosecutors charged 26-year-old Chase Barker on Wednesday with intentional child abuse, an investigation into Barker dating back to late June, according to an affidavit.

On June 23, officers were called to Bryan West for a report of a sexual assault. They spoke with a 17-year-old girl who described several actions Barker committed in June.

According to the affidavit, Barker gave the teen Percocet, Xanax and other medications the girl did not identify. She was also given alcohol, police wrote.

Police allege Barker sexually abused the girl while she was under the influence of drugs and alcohol, and even gave her four tattoos from a home tattoo kit.

Text messages between Barker and the girl backed up claims that she was given pills, alcohol and Xanax, court records show. Authorities said a search of Barker's home found two vials of prescription drugs that did not belong to him.

At his arraignment Wednesday, a Lancaster County judge set Barker's bail at 10% of $350,000. His next court date is scheduled for Sept. 24.
