Crime in Chicago: One man in Woodlawn stabbed in the head and another injured in the shoulder

On Wednesday evening, two people were stabbed in Chicago's Woodlawn neighborhood.

At around 6:55 p.m., Chicago police officers responded to a stabbing at 6600 South Greenwood Avenue. When officers arrived, they found a 34-year-old man with a stab wound to the back of the head.

The Chicago Fire Department (CFD) also arrived at the scene, treated the man's injuries and transported him to a nearby hospital, where his condition was listed as stable.

The police then received another call informing them that another person had been stabbed at the same location.

Officers found a 42-year-old man with a stab wound to his left shoulder. He was treated by CFD and transported to an area hospital in good condition. The victim told police he was outside drinking when a man approached him and stabbed him.

No one is in custody as Area One detectives continue their investigation.
