In St. Vincent, Kartel tells the youth: “Badness brings either death or prison”

  • Kartel advises youth to stay out of trouble – Was Queen Ifrica wrong?

Maybe Vybz Kartel listened to Queen Ifrica’s words, but maybe she was wrong about the Jamaican dancehall star.

Last week, Queen Ifrica suggested that Kartel had not changed since he was shut down 13 years ago and urged him to turn to God.

In St. Vincent, where he is currently being treated for Graves' disease, Kartel encouraged the island's entertainers and youth to stay away from anger and negative energy.

“Only two things can happen: either you die or you go to prison.”

“I don't wish prison on anyone. I spent 12 years in hell and it was really hell. I don't know how the prison in St. Vincent works, but I'm sure it's not a 5-star hotel. I tell the young people now that this is not a path to take,” Kartel said.

Before his release, industry colleague Queen Ifrica expressed her wish that Kartel would act as a mentor for young people.

Kartel is currently in St. Vincent and the Grenadines, where he is receiving treatment for Graves' disease, an autoimmune disorder that causes an overactive thyroid.
