13 arrests in massive drug raid in Hudson Valley: Police

HUDSON VALLEY, NY — Simultaneous raids at various locations in the Hudson Valley have resulted in dozens of arrests on felony charges.

This week, the New York State Police Troop F Violent Gangs Narcotics Enforcement Team (VGNET), Troop F Community Stabilization Unit (CSU), the Cities of Newburgh and New Windsor Police Departments executed five search warrants in connection with joint firearms and drug investigations with the Cities of Newburgh and New Windsor Police Departments.

Undercover agents purchased firearms and drugs, which led to the execution of five search warrants on Tuesday. Thirteen suspects were arrested and 17 firearms were seized.

According to police, the following 13 suspects were arrested during the operation:

• Darryl Patterson, age 55, of Newburgh: Third Degree Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance (4 felony convictions). In custody at the Orange County Jail.
• Ulee Johnson Jr., age 25, of Newburgh: Third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance (1 aggravated conviction). Released on own bond.
• Krista M. Decker, age 37, of Newburgh: Third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance. Released on her own bond.
• Theodore C. Campbell, age 39, of Jamaica: Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree. Released on Parole.
• James Turner, age 43, of Newburgh: Criminal Sale of a Firearm and Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree (3 felony convictions). Remanded to Orange County Jail.
• Joel K. Gadsen, age 45, of Newburgh: Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree (2 felony convictions). Remanded to Orange County Jail.
• Gerard Perkins, age 52, of Newburgh: Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree (4 felony convictions), in custody at the Orange County Jail
• Roy Brown, 63: Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree (4 felony convictions), in custody at the Orange County Jail
• Willie Mcleod, 37, third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance (2 felony convictions), in custody at Orange County Jail
• Morgan Secreto, age 41, of Englewood, New Jersey: Criminal Sale of a Firearm, Second Degree Criminal Possession of a Weapon, Remanded to Orange County Jail
• Paul Reid, age 50, of Jamaica: Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree (1 Felony). Released on parole.
• Tiffany Rosa-Smaha, 42: First-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance – remanded in Orange County Jail
• Joseph Stegall, age 32, of Newburgh: Criminal Sale of a Firearm, First Degree Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance, Second Degree Criminal Possession of a Weapon (2 felony convictions), in custody at the Orange County Jail

During the raid, police seized a total of 17 firearms. One AK 47, three rifles, four AR Ghost Gun pistols, two Ghost Gun pistols, one Smith & Wesson revolver and six semi-automatic handguns were seized during the raids.

Officers also reported seizing three-quarters of a kilo of cocaine, four ounces of crack cocaine and six ounces of heroin/fentanyl.
