A man in prison for allegedly stealing several vehicles

FARGO, ND (Valley News Live) – A man was arrested after police say he stole several vehicles.

Craig Vinton, 32, is in the Cass County Jail and is charged with two counts of auto theft.

On August 20, just before 8:00 a.m., the Cass County Sheriff's Office and Casselton Fire Department responded to a vehicle fire in rural Casselton.

During an investigation, officers determined that the burning vehicle had been stolen in Fargo.

Officials say a second vehicle was stolen from a nearby farm that was found later that same day in Ransom County. Officials say a third vehicle was also reported stolen.

Later that same day around 7:30 p.m., Cass County officers responded to a vehicle in a ditch in rural Davenport. When they arrived, officers completed their investigation and arrested Vinton.
