Niles City man arrested and charged in drug raid on Sycamore Street, cops say

According to Michigan State Police, a Niles City man was arrested Tuesday after being caught with drugs, firearms and paraphernalia.

Detectives from the Southwest Enforcement Team, Berrien County TRU Team, Niles Police Department and State Police found the 42-year-old during a drug raid at a home on Sycamore Street in Niles.

The police had previously been informed several times about “drug activities” on the property and in the surrounding area, officials said.

According to state police, investigators found crack, methamphetamine, a firearm, ammunition and other drug-related paraphernalia in the house in addition to the 42-year-old.

Since Thursday, the man has been accused of possession of meth and cocaine with the intent to resell, operating a drug house, illegal possession of a firearm and illegal possession of a weapon.
