18-year-old man from Stafford dies in accident on Wednesday morning

A Stafford County man was killed in a car crash in the 600 block of Poplar Road early Wednesday morning.

Officers arrived at the scene around 1:10 a.m. after learning that a vehicle had struck a tree and rolled over several times.

When police arrived, they found the vehicle was occupied by four people. The driver, 18-year-old Landon Lynn of Stafford, was pronounced dead at the scene and the other three occupants were taken to nearby hospitals for treatment of their injuries.

A preliminary investigation shows the vehicle was traveling northbound when Lynn lost control and left the road. Speed ​​appears to have been a factor in the crash, police said.
