Rajpal Yadav from Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 recalls how he was treated as a star after the school crew realised he was famous: “Came with six others in a jeep and went in…”

Rajpal Yadav was seen in the 1999 film Shool, in which he played the role of a coolie. However, before that, he played a pivotal role in the television show Mungeri Ke Bhai Naurangilal, which made him popular among the masses. However, the crew members did not realise how tall he was until his fans went completely crazy when they saw him on the sets.

During an interview with Ashoke Pandit on his YouTube channel The Ashoke Pandit Show, the actor recalled that he was treated like a star only when the team saw that his fans were happy to see him. Rajpal Yadav recalled shooting for Shool in Motihari in Bihar. Since the entire crew was from Hyderabad, they were unaware of his popularity in that part of India. Hence, they put him in a cramped vehicle along with six other people.

However, when he got out of the car, people started shouting “Arey Nauranghiya bhi hai” among the thousands of people who had gathered to watch Manoj Bajpayee and Raveena Tandon shoot. He stated that one of producer Ram Gopal Varma's cousins ​​came to him and said that the audience went crazy when they spotted someone named Nauranghiya.

That's when star actor Manoj pointed at Rajpal and said that it was him. When the team realised how famous he was, they started treating him like a star. “I came to the set in a jeep with six others and left in a car all by myself, just like Manoj Bajpayee and Raveena Tandon,” Rajpal recalled. In the conversation, he also mentioned that while shooting, director Eeshwar Nivas had told him in a serious tone to speak properly in the presence of Manoj Bajpayee. Then Rajpal thought, “But I know him.”

Just like Rajpal Yadav, several of his National School of Drama graduates, including Nawazuddin Siddiqui, played small roles in the action crime thriller. The latter played the role of a waiter. On the work front, Yadav will next be seen in Anees Bazmee's Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3. The horror comedy will star Kartik Aaryan along with Vidya Balan, Madhuri Dixit and Triptii Dimri. It is scheduled to hit the cinemas during the Diwali weekend of 2024.
