Man from Elmhurst waves gun during aggressive traffic incident: Police

ELMHURST, IL — An Elmhurst man is accused of brandishing a gun during a road rage incident at the corner of West and North avenues, local police said.

Sami Ayash, 21, who lives in the 500 block of West Crockett Avenue, was arrested at around 8:30 p.m. Monday at the corner of West and North avenues on charges of aggravated assault, aggravated unlawful use of a weapon and disturbing the peace, police said.

He was taken to the DuPage County Jail, where he has since been released.

Ayash played football for York High School. According to the school's website, he is on the football roster at Benedictine University in Lisle.
