Two people arrested after SANE raid on suspected drug house in Alanson

ALANSON – Two Alanson residents were arrested Wednesday after the Straits Area Narcotics Enforcement (SANE) team executed a search warrant on their property.

According to Michigan State Police, members of the SANE team, along with officers from the Emmet County Sheriff's Office, seized methamphetamine, ketamine, clonazepam tablets, lorazepam tablets, suboxone tablets, hydrocodone tablets, suspected LSD and “evidence of distribution” including digital scales, cash and baggies during their search.

The residents, a 30-year-old man and a 24-year-old woman, were both arrested for “possession of methamphetamine with intent to traffic, possession of ketamine with intent to traffic, possession of clonazepam, possession of lorazepam, possession of suboxone, possession of hydrocodone, operating a drug house and using a computer to commit a crime,” a news release said.

The two individuals were lodged in the Emmet County Jail pending arraignment. The man was released on $10,000 bail while the woman was released on $5,000 bail. Both will be arraigned at a later date.
