In a tragic accident, a woman fell down a popular attraction and suffered fatal injuries in the midst of the crisis.

Thousands of families around the world visit local amusement parks and fairs to enjoy a fun day of tasty snacks, rides and make lasting memories. Unfortunately, tragic accidents are reported all over the world where multiple roller coasters and other attractions fail, putting guests' lives at risk.

Last year, Inside the Magic reported on a tragic incident at the Grona Lund amusement park in central Stockholm, Sweden, where several visitors were injured and a 35-year-old woman died when she fell from a high-speed roller coaster. According to the park's official statement, the roller coaster partially derailed at a considerable height, leading to the tragic incident.

Tragedy struck at Waldameer Park & ​​Water World in the US earlier this month when several guests on the Flying Swings attraction were reportedly thrown to the ground due to a malfunction that shocked theme park staff and witnesses.

Sadly, another fatal accident was recently caught on video: a woman fell to her death at a local fair.

Several news agencies have published the gruesome video of a 39-year-old woman falling from a Ferris wheel at the National Fair of Potosí (Fenapo) in Mexico. The victim was hit by several beams and gondolas during the fall and suffered fatal injuries in the accident on the attraction.

When local authorities arrived at the scene, they confirmed that the woman had suffered serious injuries from the fall and showed no signs of life upon examination, which shocked witnesses.

The national newspaper @elvallemexico shared the horrific video on X (formerly known as Twitter), which you can see below. The video is very graphic and viewers are advised to exercise caution.

(Translated) Woman dies after falling from Ferris wheel in San Luis Potosí!

This afternoon, a woman died after falling from a Ferris wheel at the National Fair of Potosí (Fenapo).

Police confirmed the incident and found a 39-year-old woman with no signs of life and visible injuries from the force of the impact.

The Attorney General's Office of the State of San Luis Potosí (FGESLP) has launched an investigation into the incidents that occurred at the attractions at Fenapo.

Aristegui Noticias reported that the woman got stuck in the gondola of the Ferris wheel and was unable to get out of the attraction in time. According to the report, the operators of the attraction did not notice this and allowed the ride to continue. Eventually, the woman could no longer hold on and fell to the ground.

Other sources mention that the gondola's safety devices were not properly secured, causing it to open and trigger the fatal accident, the news agency added.

According to Imagen Noticias, the organizers and officials of the event assured that all rides and facilities had been checked and approved for operation. They added that the local fair offers insurance to all visitors, which supposedly covers all costs caused by the accident.
