This is the tragic last selfie of a passenger on the FlyDubai plane that crashed in strong winds, killing all on board.

Flight FZ981 from Dubai crashed near its destination at Rostov-on-Don airport in Russia on Saturday morning.

In this selfie, passenger Anna Sergeeva, a 25-year-old make-up artist, smiles at the camera from her seat before takeoff.

She posted the picture for her friends on social media before the plane left Dubai.

This is probably the last photo taken by a passenger on board this flight.

Ms. Sergeeva worked as a beautician in Dubai, where she lived for the last six months.

Her friend Karina said: “Anna has been living and working in Dubai for the past six months to support her mother and 11-year-old brother who live in Kharkiv.”

About four months ago, Ms. Sergeyeva posted a picture of her plane ticket and wrote: “I am flying home for a week.”

Her latest selfie was widely shared on social media.

One user commented: “Rest in peace… I'm so sad tonight… Because I'm going to miss you so much.”

All 62 people on board the plane were killed, including seven crew members. 44 of the passengers, including four children, were Russian citizens.

During its second attempt to land, the plane crashed in bad weather at 3:40 a.m. after circling for hours.
