Harris will fight climate change

US Secretary of the Interior Deb Haaland said on Thursday, on the final evening of the Democratic Party Convention, that Vice President Kamala Harris was the better candidate to tackle the climate crisis.

Haaland, a former U.S. representative from New Mexico, is the first Native American to serve as a Cabinet secretary and has long fought for environmental justice.

She delivered a speech at the convention after showing a video comparing Harris and Donald Trump's records and promises on climate change, and was greeted with sustained cheers and chants.

“Kamala Harris and Tim Walz will fight for a future where we all have clean air, clean water and healthy communities,” she said.
