St. Marys man arrested on multiple drug charges | News, Sports, Jobs

Osric Armand Malone-Prioleau

ST. MARYS – A St. Marys man was arrested Aug. 16 and charged with three counts of illegal possession of a controlled substance with intent to resell.

Osric Armand Malone-Prioleau, 50, is charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance for manufacture, delivery, or possession with intent to deliver Schedule IV drugs and one count of possession of a controlled substance for manufacture, delivery, or possession with intent to deliver Schedule I, II, or III drugs.

According to the St. Marys Police Department criminal complaint, officers with the St. Marys Police Department and Pleasants County Sheriff's Office executed a search warrant on Aug. 6 at Holistic Wellness & Healing, 712 Sixth St. in St. Marys, where Malone-Prioleau owns and was present during the search.

The complaint states that officers found several expired controlled and non-controlled substances with different names on the prescriptions. All of the controlled substances were found in a wooden drawer under a glass cabinet.

The substances found included one bottle of buprenorphine, a Schedule III drug that expired on 5/23/22, one bottle of zolpidem, a Schedule IV drug that expired on 6/13/25, and one bottle of fluoxetine, a Schedule IV drug that expired on 11/23/22, according to the complaint.

It said officials received several statements from former employees that said Malone-Prioleau told them that if there was a shortage of controlled substances, they should supplement them with substances found in the drawer. It also said Malone-Prioleau would rip up prescriptions and distribute them to different patients. The complaint said he also passed certain controlled substances to employees.

Malone-Prioleau posted $210,000 bail on August 16, but was later arrested for violating bail conditions.

According to court documents, part of his bail agreement was to have no contact with former Holistic Wellness & Healing employees. A motion filed in Pleasants County Magistrate Court says Malone-Prioleau violated that agreement by allowing himself to be given a ride by someone he knew was a former employee.

The motion stated that Malone-Prioleau's bail had been revoked and a warrant had been issued for his arrest, and that he should be held without bail pending a hearing to reinstate bail.

According to the West Virginia Regional Jail and Correctional Facility Authority, Malone-Prioleau is being held at the North Central Regional Jail. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Monday in Pleasants County Magistrate Court.
