Manager speaks about former salon employee who was arrested for sexual assault after giving a massage

THE WOODLANDS, Texas – We get new details about the allegations against Kirinde Saddhanusari, a man who worked at a massage parlor in The Woodlands and was arrested after a customer accused him of sexual assault.

All this while a Texas-based attorney is offering his help to other potential victims who are asked to come forward at the request of the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office.

The manager of the Oasis Massage Salon, which is registered in Texas as Living Water Day Spa, told KPRC 2 that she checked Saddhanusari's criminal history and that it did not yield any results. She also said that he was a humble and polite personality when she hired him.

We found out he wasn't licensed as a massage therapist according to the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation. The attorney we spoke with says that's a red flag.

“It's really sad that we're seeing a trend toward abuse in the massage industry,” said attorney Michelle Simpson Tuegel, who primarily represents victims of sexual assault.

Although she finds it disturbing, Tuegel says she was unfortunately not surprised to hear of the arrest of 43-year-old Saddhanusari last week.

“The trend we're unfortunately seeing is that people are being abused and touched inappropriately, which is a form of abuse and sexual assault when you're in that vulnerable, frankly naked position,” she added. “It's also up to companies to screen their employees and act on any leads or information they have.”

We went to the salon and asked the manager about Saddhanusari's employment and arrest. She did not want to go on camera, but told us that Saddhanusari had previously worked in California.

Although he didn't have a license, she taught him which parts of the body to treat. She said he had some certifications and experience and performed a special Indian massage. She also said nothing like that had ever happened there before and she fired him right after his alleged victim came out of the room crying in despair.

The manager added that she is cooperating with investigators who say Saddhanusari has confessed to this in the past.

“People who act predatorily and choose to do this work and hurt people in vulnerable positions often have more than one victim,” Tuegel said.

Other potential victims are asked to contact MCSO immediately. Saddhanusari, meanwhile, remains held in the Montgomery County Jail on $50,000 bail for second-degree sexual assault.
