BATON ROUGE, Louisiana (BRPROUD) – Enforcement officers with the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries issued a citation on August 10 to a man accused of violating deer hunting laws in East Baton Rouge Parish.

The investigation began Aug. 1 after officials received information about a 10-point deer that had been killed during the closed season. The agency said Tabor admitted to killing the deer with a rifle on his property on July 26.

Officials confiscated the deer's antlers and meat. The meat was donated to charity, according to LDWF.
