Since its publication MLB The Show 24 has received numerous updates designed to address these issues and introduce new content. The most recent update on August 22 brought changes to Diamond Dynasty, Franchise, and Create a Stadium. A notable fix was implemented in Diamond Dynasty mode to prevent the My Inventory menu from resetting to the Orioles Live Series collection after quick selling a card. In Franchise mode, Toronto Blue Jays players will now automatically don their Canada Day uniforms on Canada Day. Additionally, the Create a Stadium feature has been updated with new race-themed props to coincide with the announcement of the MLB Bristol event.

The MLB The Show 24 Developers have confirmed that this latest update does not bring any adjustments to gameplay or the balance of live content. Compared to previous updates, the changes here are relatively minor. For example, the April update introduced the City Connect uniform for the New York Mets and fixed various bugs, including a crash issue that occurred when selecting teams for the daily lineups on Jackie Robinson Day. Despite the challenges at launch, MLB The Show 24 remains a strong performer in the market. This is evidenced by its impressive sales figures, with the game ranking 8th among the best-selling titles in July 2024, with EA Sports Football 25 tops the charts.
