Man who escaped from St. Louis prison arrested in Conway | The Arkansas Democrat-Gazette

U.S. Marshals on Monday arrested a man who escaped from a Missouri prison in November and was found in Conway after months on the run, a news release Thursday said.

Marshals arrested Markel Hutton without incident after following up on leads that he may have fled to central Arkansas in the months following his escape from a St. Louis prison on Nov. 3, the U.S. Marshals Service press release said.

Hutton was serving a 51-month prison sentence for brandishing a gun during a carjacking, the release said. If authorities return him to Missouri, he will face additional charges related to the escape and must serve the remainder of his sentence, the release said.
