A 29-year-old interior designer married to a popular Delhi-based fashion influencer died on Monday, his wife announced on Instagram.

Isha Ghaii Kalra shared the news of her husband Ankit Kalra’s death on Instagram.

“Take me back one day, I promise to do things differently! Come back baby please? I miss you,” she wrote in the heartbreaking post, which was accompanied by a photo of Kalra.

Who was Ankit Kalra?

In his Instagram bio, Ankit Kalra describes himself as an interior designer and builder. He has over 20,000 followers.

He studied at the GD Goenka Public School in Vasant Kunj, south Delhi.

His last post on Instagram and Facebook, one day before his death, contained an eerie message.

“The fight you fight today develops the strength you need for tomorrow,” Kalra wrote next to a photo of himself in his car.

The couple married in January last year.

Isha Ghaii Kalra, who has over 720,000 followers on Instagram, is the co-owner of an online clothing brand.

The young couple regularly shared fun Instagram Reels that showcased the dynamics of marriage and family life. Their last joint Reel, posted on August 4, was captioned, “Modern problems require modern solutions.”

The Kalras enjoyed their last vacation in Goa last month. They were like any other urban upper-middle-class couple in their 20s who loved fashion, travel, shopping, cars, dining out and the latest gadgets.

“My condolences. I saw him in the hospital on the 19th and was shocked to see him there,” nutritionist Geetanjali Narain Bhatnagar said in the comments.
