Influencer Insha Ghaii rejects “fake news” about the cause of her husband’s death: heart attack and cardiac arrest

The death of Ankit Kalra, a 29-year-old interior designer who was married to popular fashion influencer Insha Ghaii Kalra, has created shock on social media and has raised several speculations about the cause of death. Insha Ghaii, in an Instagram post, has refuted all the rumors and said that Ankit died of a sudden and unexpected heart attack.

“To all of you making false assumptions. He was a healthy person and had no medical history. It was an unexpected and sudden cardiac arrest in his sleep. So please, if you cannot support the family during this difficult time, please do not spread too much false news,” she said in an Instagram story.

The couple, who got married in February last year, were popular for their adorable social media posts that exuded love and humor. Ankit Kalra, a Delhi-based digital creator, interior designer and contractor, often appeared in funny videos with Insha.

Their last video together was posted on Instagram on August 4 and was captioned, “Modern problems require modern solutions.”

Today, Insha also posted an emotional post on Instagram. She posted a picture with Ankit and wrote, “Ankit, you left me to be with God and this is so unfair. Our year and a half together was way too short. That morning I had no idea it would be our last. I am still in denial and praying that this is all just a horrible dream and I wake up by your side. Your heart gave up and with that my life has ended. We had so many plans and now I am lost without you. This cannot be true. You left me behind and this is a loss I will never get over! Heaven is so lucky to have you.”

Insha Ghaii, who has over 728,000 followers on Instagram, co-owns a clothing label called ‘House of Styles, by Smriti & Insha’ with Ankit.
