Dolly Parton has just released her own lipstick line – including “Jolene Red”

Dolly Parton once sang that Jolene's beauty was unparalleled. And now yours can be, too: The beloved country star has launched a line of lipsticks called Heaven's Kiss, including a shade aptly named Jolene Red.

Parton is a beauty icon – but releasing her own line of color cosmetics is new territory. “I've wanted to be pretty my whole life, like most girls, especially country girls who dream of glamour,” Parton told WWD. “I started making my own little makeup things at home when I was a kid and have been known for years for wearing makeup – usually too much.”

Dolly Beauty Heaven's Kiss lipstick comes in four shades for $20 each: Rosebud, Birthday Suit, Honey Plum and Jolene Red. “Jolene Red – if you can't beat 'em, join 'em,” Parton jokes in a brand video. Each is scented with lychee blossom, rose petal and vanilla orchid, notes reminiscent of Parton's fragrance line. The shades are classic enough to wear to any office job.

“You know, even if I'm having a bad day or not feeling great, I feel so much better when I put makeup on,” Parton says in the video. “I've always been inspired by beauty. You know, you have to make the most of everything you have.”

Even the packaging of Heaven's Kiss is unmistakably Parton. A touch of gold accentuates the rhinestone-encrusted case, and the lipstick tube itself is embossed with the shape of a butterfly. “I've always said I never leave a rhinestone unturned,” Parton told WWD.

Parton's brand says more lipstick shades and possibly more color cosmetics will be coming soon. The lipsticks are available now on dollybeauty.com – alongside the singer's four fragrances that launched in 2021 – and will roll out to more stores and retailers later.
