This weekend there will be another Trump Freedom Boat Parade in North Dakota

There will be another boat parade/rally in North Dakota in support of former President Trump.

The boat parade will take place on Saturday, August 24th (tomorrow) starting at 12 noon on Lake Sakakawea.

The parade route stretches across a large portion of Lake Sakakawea.

The parade is called the “2024 Freedom Boat Parade” and will begin near Alcatraz Island outside (north of) the Lake Sakakawea State Park Marina. Supporters are asked to meet at 11 a.m. The parade will begin at noon after the national anthem.

Departing from Lake Sakakawea State Park Marina, they will head south toward Garrison Dam and then turn east to travel along Garrison Dam. Parade attendees are reminded that it is salmon fishing season and they must maintain a safe distance from other boaters and anglers.

The parade then turns north at the spillway gates and passes the Riverdale Bluffs, then heads east between Wolf Creek Campground to the south and Mallard Island to the north.

Once you pass the island and campground, head north toward Highway 83/Audubon Dam.

When you reach the north end of the dam (near the Snake Creek pumping station), turn west and head back toward Fort Stevenson State Park.

All watercraft are requested to maintain idle speed. Larger vessels should stay at the front.

The best place to look for supporters who aren't attending the boat parade?

The best viewing spots include the lookout point at the east end of Garrison Dam or the pump station parking lot near Totten Trail.

Governor-elect Kelly Armstrong will serve as Grand Marshal of the parade.
