17-year-old girl identified as victim of Winter Street shooting

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) – A 17-year-old Fort Wayne girl has been identified as the victim of a shooting last week on Winter Street.

BACKGROUND: Minor in critical condition after shooting on Thursday evening

Myaunna Chacole Foster-Juarez died of a gunshot wound to the head, according to the Allen County Coroner's Office. Her death was ruled a homicide.

She was shot in the 2900 block of Winter Street and taken to a local hospital where she was later pronounced dead.

On Thursday evening, Fort Wayne police said there had been no arrests in connection with her death.

Her death is the 27th murder conviction this year in Allen County.
