Haas faces legal trouble with ex-sponsor after Alpine confirms driver change – RacingNews365 Review

Haas' former Formula One sponsor Uralkali has asked a Dutch court to seize its Formula One cars and spare parts ahead of this weekend's Grand Prix. RacingNews365 understands.

Uralkali was Haas' title sponsor from 2021 to 2022, but the contract was terminated early following the Russian invasion of Ukraine, with Uralkali having already paid a large portion of this year's sponsorship money to the team.

Alpine announces second F1 driver for 2025

Jack Doohan has been officially announced by Alpine as a full-time F1 driver for 2025; he has been promoted from reserve driver.

The Australian joined the Alpine Academy in 2022 and was entrusted with simulator and other testing duties as Alpine sought to recover from a poor start to the 2024 season.

Exclusive: Uralkali issues statement on legal proceedings against Haas F1

Former Haas sponsor Uralkali has issued a statement RacingNews365s Exclusive story about the company's attempt to confiscate its cars at the Dutch Grand Prix.

Earlier this year, Haas was ordered to repay money to Uralkali that it had transferred to the team in early 2022, ahead of the expected second year of the title sponsorship deal. However, the contract was torn up following the Russian invasion of Ukraine in February of that year.

Horner was investigated earlier this year after an employee filed a complaint against the Briton.

Toto Wolff has reiterated his desire to sign Max Verstappen, but admitted that it is now no longer possible to sign him for the 2025 F1 season.

Wolff has made it public that he is fighting for Verstappen's signature this year, even though the three-time world champion has a contract with Red Bull until 2028.
