Indian Hill firefighter arrested for stalking and harassing his ex-girlfriend

INDIAN HILL, Ohio – Stalking. Harassment. Voyeurism.

These charges are facing a 27-year-old first responder who is accused of committing crimes against his ex-girlfriend over a period of more than a month.

Devin Moore, a firefighter and paramedic with the Madeira and Indian Hill Joint Fire District since 2019, was arrested by Deer Park police officers on Thursday before being taken to the Hamilton County Jail.

According to court documents, Moore allegedly repeatedly tried to contact his ex-girlfriend after the relationship ended, despite her forbidding him from doing so. The communication attempts included text messages, emails, group chats and social media, court documents show.

An affidavit alleges that Moore took sexual photos and videos of the woman without her consent and later sent them to her via text message.

“Mr. Moore states in a text message that he is using the photos/video for masturbation,” the officer wrote in the affidavit.

The four charges Moore faces include threatening by stalking, a first-degree misdemeanor. According to court documents, Moore entered his ex-girlfriend's home on July 13 through the first-floor window while the woman was in her bedroom with another person. Moore allegedly gained entry because the lock was broken.

We reached out to the Madeira and Indian Hill Joint Fire District to inquire about possible disciplinary action against Moore. Chief Stephen Oughterson confirmed that Moore was placed on leave pending an investigation. Oughterson did not respond when asked if the leave was paid or unpaid.

Moore appeared in court Monday morning. He was sentenced to $1,000 bail on the threatening stalking charge and was required to post bail on his own recognizance on the other three charges.
