Salem's Lot will finally be shown

In Stephen King's Salem's Lot, an author returns to his hometown to write about an abandoned mansion in the small town. When he discovers that the house has been purchased by a mysterious man from Europe, the man also realizes that the townspeople are slowly being turned into vampires. The author teams up with a ragtag group to stop the vampires from spreading, with the final confrontation with the mysterious man taking place inside the house. It is widely considered one of King's best novels, and fans have been hoping for a remake for quite some time. King himself has always said that he thinks the novel is ripe for a remake, and what better time than now, with Hollywood once again raving about the author's works?

I'm so glad this movie is finally getting its big break. Gary Dauberman is a really nice guy and for a while there was a fear that WB would screw this movie up. Batgirl and write it off. I'm so glad that's not the case. Setting the action in the '70s and keeping the mood of the book was central to the story, and it sounds like he pulled it off. Hopefully a trailer won't be long in coming.
