Clarksville Police Charge Briana Golden in Connection to Fatal Crash June 16 on Peachers Mill Road – Clarksville Online

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, Tennessee: – On June 16, 2024, at approximately 7:50 p.m., officers with the Clarksville Police Department (CPD) responded to a crash that occurred on Peachers Mill Road near Allen Griffey Road.

47-year-old Huey Johnson of Clarksville succumbed to his injuries sustained in the accident. According to initial information from witnesses, the second vehicle involved was a red Ford Focus.

The investigation revealed that both vehicles were travelling at excessive speed immediately prior to the accident, which resulted in Mr Johnson's death.

Fatal crash investigators, along with the CPD Intelligence Unit, worked diligently to identify and locate the second, unidentified vehicle. It turned out to be a maroon Kia K5. The vehicle and driver, 19-year-old Briana Golden of Clarksville, were located and questioned on Monday, June 24, 2024.



FACT Investigator Burton worked with the District Attorney's Office and presented evidence related to the fatal crash to the Montgomery County Grand Jury in August. The Grand Jury indicted Ms. Golden and she was arrested on August 13, 2024. She is charged with involuntary manslaughter, leaving the scene of an accident causing death, reckless endangerment, reckless driving, driver's failure to exercise due care, and speeding. Her bail was set at $90,000.

Criminal proceedings are ongoing in this case. No further information is available for publication.
