Sparks man found guilty of drug trafficking after being found with over nine pounds of meth

RENO, Nev. (KOLO) – A Sparks man was found guilty of drug trafficking after being caught with more than nine pounds of methamphetamine.

Mario Fertini was found guilty of two counts of trafficking in more than 400 grams of a Schedule 1 controlled substance, conspiracy to violate the Uniform Controlled Substances Act, possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute, and criminal possession of a firearm.

In September 2023, a Reno Police Department officer was notified that Fertini, also known as Anttwon Fogers, was selling methamphetamine, fentanyl, cocaine and heroin in the Reno/Sparks area. Fertini's criminal record included several drug charges and an outstanding warrant for his arrest for attempted drug trafficking.

Over the next few weeks, police conducted surveillance and observed Fertini meeting with several people for brief periods of time in the parking lot of his apartment complex, suggesting the sale of drugs.

He was arrested on an outstanding warrant and a search of his home revealed over nine pounds of methamphetamine and a gun.
