PRESQUE ISLE, Maine (WAGM) – On August 22, 2024, at approximately 3:15 a.m., Presque Isle Police responded to a motion-activated burglar alarm at the Freshies store on Main Street in Presque Isle. After speaking with the store manager, police determined that lottery tickets and cigarettes had been stolen from the store. Later that morning, two of the stolen lottery tickets were cashed at another store in town. Video footage captured a suspicious female identified as Nicole Gohar, 49, of Presque Isle. Additional footage captured Ms. Gohar entering the front entrance of the Freshies store after closing time and exiting through the rear employee entrance. Ms. Gohar was arrested the evening of August 22 and charged with burglary, theft, violation of conditions of release, and malicious damage to property. She was transported to the Aroostook County Jail for arraignment.
