According to some sources, the new Tata Curvv has started affecting the sales of the Nexon EV. According to some dealers, customers who were initially interested in the Nexon are now interested in the Curvv EV. This has also led to heavy discounts of nearly Rs 100,000 on the Nexon EV to attract customers. However, it was previously speculated that Curvv might affect the sales of the Nexon EV. But what could be the reason?

The most obvious reason why buyers prefer the new Tata Curvv over the Nexon EV could be the value for money package that the Curvv EV offers. For comparison, the Nexon EV costs between Rs 15.33 lakh and Rs 20.67 lakh (on-road, Mumbai). The bigger, sleeker and more feature-packed Tata Curvv costs between Rs 18.57 lakh and Rs 23.28 lakh (on-road, Mumbai). The top variant of the Curvv EV costs just Rs 3 lakh more than the top variant of the Nexon EV.

So what do you get when you pay Rs 300,000 extra? Compared to Nexon EV, Curvv EV offers stylish design. It is a coupe SUV which already attracts many buyers. Another advantage is the huge boot space of 500 litres that Curvv offers. Secondly, Curvv EV offers more features than Nexon EV. Curvv EV offers features like – Level 2 ADAS, panoramic sunroof, power and hands-free tailgate, power adjustable driver seat, height adjustable passenger seat, ambient lighting and a few more.

Furthermore, despite sharing the same dashboard design as the Nexon EV, the Curvv EV offers a more premium look and feel. Compared to the Nexon, the Tata Curvv has more attractive elements on the dashboard, including the premium 4-spoke steering wheel from the Tata Safari. Finally, the Curvv's larger 55 kWh battery pack offers a real-world range of 400-425 km. Moreover, this battery pack is coupled with powerful electric motors that are responsible for the Curvv EV accelerating from 0-100 km/h in a claimed 8.6 seconds!
