Neil Young re-releases Freedom, Ragged Glory, Weld and Arc on vinyl

Neil Young has announced that four of his classic albums will be reissued on vinyl. Freedom, Ragged Glory – Smell the Horse, weldingAnd Bow will all be back in print on October 4th.

Especially in 1989 Freedom includes “Rockin' in the Free World,” which was played with Young's permission when vice presidential candidate Tim Walz took the stage at DNC ​​2024 earlier this week. Shattered glory was released the following year and expanded to include four rare titles for this new edition.

In 1991, Young published welding as a live album with recordings of performances from his tour in support of Shattered glory. Finally, Bow is a companion album to welding with feedback, improvisation, guitar solos and vocal fragments recorded during live shows.

These albums were first remastered for vinyl when they were released for Young's Official Release Series Volume 5 Boxset (available here) last summer.

Young also has his Archive Volume III (1976 – 1987) The box set will be released on September 6th. Pre-orders are possible.

On September 21, Young will headline Farm Aid 2024 along with Willie Nelson, John Mellencamp and Dave Matthews. Tickets are available here.
