BTS' Suga 'reflects' on how he disappointed his fans with drunk e-scooter incident – Culture

A member of the K-pop megagroup BTS appeared for questioning at a South Korean police station on Friday and told reporters he was “very sorry” for riding an electric scooter while drunk.

Suga, 31, was found by police late in the evening of August 6 lying on the ground next to his e-scooter with a blood alcohol level well above the legal limit.

Wearing a black suit, Suga bowed to journalists in front of the police station in Seoul's chic Yongsan district.

“I'm sorry, I'm very sorry. I sincerely think about the disappointment I caused to many fans and people. I will fully cooperate with the investigation. I'm sorry again,” he said before entering the station.

He did not answer reporters’ questions about the details of the case.

The singer, who is currently doing his military service as a social worker, has already had his driving license revoked and has been fined.

However, he has yet to answer police questions as officers said he was too drunk to answer at the time of the incident.

Suga has admitted to driving while drunk and apologized to his fans on social media.

According to experts, the punishment depends on what type of e-scooter he was riding.

If he had ridden a sophisticated e-scooter instead of a simple kickboard, “Suga could be punished for violating traffic regulations,” said lawyer Cha Hong-soon.
