Spring Arbor man arrested for drunk driving after trying to check on friend with OWI arrest

INGHAM COUNTY, Michigan (WILX) – A suspected drunk driver was arrested Friday night while checking on his friend, who was also arrested for drunk driving.

The Ingham County Sheriff's Office said a 25-year-old Gregory man was arrested for driving under the influence (OWI) following a traffic stop near the intersection of Osborne Road and E Dansville Road on August 23 at around 7 p.m.

A second driver, a 27-year-old Spring Arbor man, stopped to check on his friend, who had just been arrested. The sheriff's office said the Spring Arbor man was also arrested for drunken driving.

Both were booked into the Ingham County Jail.
