Four family members found dead in parked car, cause of death still unknown

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan – At least four people were found dead in a car parked on the M2 highway near Bhera, and a fifth person was found unconscious, according to the highway police.

Officers discovered the incident during routine patrols near Bhera when they noticed a vehicle parked on the side of the road.

As they approached the car to help, they found five persons in a semi-conscious state. They were immediately rushed to Tehsil Headquarters Hospital Bhera for medical treatment.

At the hospital, doctors confirmed that four of the people had died, while the fifth, a 30-year-old man named Umar Qasim, was still in critical condition.

The victims are Romila, 60, Mahwish, 30, Samar, 28, and Aun, 4. All five were from the same family in Lahore and were on their way to Islamabad when the incident occurred.

Doctors suspect that food poisoning may have been the cause of death.

Meanwhile, officials from Phulrowan, Bhera police station arrived at the hospital and started investigations.
